Top tips for organising your table plan
  1. Start to arrange your table/seating plan after all your guests have replied. It takes long enough and you don't want to keep changing it.

  2. If you are  having a lot of guests, make sure you set up more than one table plan so that your guests can easily check their seat numbers without causing a crowd to build up.

  3. Seat your guests with at least one person they know or people of similar ages or interests. Don't seat your 95 year old great aunt among a group of teenagers.

  4. Try to create balanced table. Don't put all your female guests on one table. You can try male -female - fenale - male, or male - male, female - female, for variety.

  5. Avoid putting your guests on the same table with an ex-partner. This will help to create a stress free environment.

  6. Try to put the bride and groom on a table where they will be seen by everyone and where they can also have a good view of all their guests.

  7. Make sure that the serving staff have easy access. It would be a hindrance to have a table blocking the door, or more importantly, the fireplace.

  8. Make sure that younger children and your older guests are seated away from the DJ. The sound level may be too loud for your older guests and young children tend to run around and may trip on the wires or equipment.

  9. Lastly, arrange for an extra table for those who respond at the last minute.
